It’s just constant overly dramatic and aggressive whining and complaining. So much of the stuff people talk about on this sub are realistically minor inconveniences and differences in personal preference or straight up unthought out or unreasonable, and yet they almost always talk about them like they ruin every other aspect of this gorgeous and incredible game, instead of just having like a mild mannered conversation of like “Personally I felt this was handled a bit better in the first game” or “I understand why they did this, but I do miss this certain skill”. Of course they’re going to have to reset some stuff, otherwise it would be entirely unbalanced throughout the ENTIRE game. Like what do you realistically think they should do instead for a sense of progression if you keep all of your previous skills and go in to the start of this game with super advanced weapon techniques and huge damage dealt/taken buffs? It’s a game. “HFW’s skill trees are terrible”- this game, a sequel, did what every other sequel realistically does and generally reset some gear and skills, because it would be boring and lack progression if you continued with all your skills and gear from the previous game. “I hate strike and it’s making me want to delete the game”- optional content you’re personally not enjoying, of which you need to play and win two easy games to get a trophy. “The races are fucking awful and make the game terrible”- you’re personally not enjoying optional side content, fair enough, skip it. Y’know, I wholeheartedly agree with the person that put the post in this sub the other day saying everyone on this sub complains and is way too over dramatic and over reactive with the way they talk about things. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve used them because most (with the exception of Stealth Stalker & Radial Blast) are just plain BORING.ĭrink a special potion to regain HP & gain status effect resistance.Īre you kidding me? It just feels like this skill tree was very poorly thought out. And while on that subject, Valor Surges are one of the most disappointing aspects of this game. Seriously? It’s bad enough that we no longer have the Shield Weave armor from Zero Dawn, but it’s downright infuriating to learn that it’s function is still available as a brief Valor Surge on the skill tree. Pre-existing ammo types (like sticky bombs) now have to be unlocked. Machine override damage & duration have been nerfed considerably in order to add them as “new” features on the skill tree. My gripe with Forbidden West is that so many of those abilities (and weapons!) have been put on reset. Game developers learned a long time ago that the best sequels build upon existing skill trees established during the original games.
